HILANDO UNA FAMILIA.

2008-2009
Collaboration with teachers and fellow artists from Chicago SAIC (2008) and women in Oaxaca, Chiapas and Quintana Roo , Mexican Indigenous communities (2009). In January of 2009 I started the research for TELAR Project (see TELAR) . I traveled through southern Mexico visiting Indigenous communities dedicated to textiles and asked them to embellish it. This piece represents the integration of Western and Indigenous communities.
